Ever wonder what a real mountain rescuer carries when heading out on the trail? Join a member of CragRats Mountain Rescue for an exciting, hands-on program where we unpack the essentials! Kids and families will get a peek inside a rescuer’s backpack and learn about the tools, gear, and surprises that help keep hikers safe in the mountains.

After exploring the pack, we’ll get creative by making our own walking sticks, then put them to the test on a fun, easy walk around the neighborhood. It’s a great chance to practice hiking skills, ask questions, and enjoy the outdoors together.

👟 Important Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult for the walk.
