About the Friends of the Library

The Friends of The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library supports the Library and the delivery of its services through activities such as raising money for special purchases and events, and volunteering in the Library. It is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. New members are always welcome. Application forms are in the Library.

Meetings

The Friends of the Library (FOL) meet the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. These meetings are open to the public. If you would like to become more actively involved with the FOL, make plans to attend the next meeting.

Donations

The Friends of the Library accepts donations of gently used books, CDs and DVDs all year. Donations not added to the library’s collection become part of a used book sale held at various times during the year. Donated items are also available for purchase any time the library is open. They are located on shelves in the hallway to the library meeting room.
