Where graphic novels meet games, art, and snacks! We read one graphic novel a month and then explore its world through hands-on projects, themed challenges, and plenty of fun. Reading has never been this interactive!

Every Monday morning at 10:30, join a librarian and a special guest buddy for a storytime. The buddy might be a puppet, a community helper, or a visiting critter. It's a mystery, and it's always special!

In this hands-on, play-based program, toddlers and preschoolers are invited to build structures, make discoveries, ask big questions, and embrace the joy of a little mess.

Join us on each fourth Tuesday of the month to make and take home your very own fabulous puppet! It will be a different type of puppet each month. It's going to be a ton of fun, so don't miss out!

Fun and games for toddlers and preschool age children! Every Wednesday morning in the library meeting room at 10:30 am until 11:00 am. Adults must accompany their child and can join in the fun! Games, crafts, music, and Fun!

Welcome to the Library of Rock! Where kids ages 8 to 12 will learn how to play different instruments in a rock band! Registration is required, as each class builds on the last.

The last Wednesday of each month, join us at The Dalles Art Center for storytime! 

This playful storytime brings early literacy to life for toddlers with hands-on playdough fun!

Library Scouts is an inclusive, hands-on program for children ages 8 to 12.

Join our weekly walk/run from the library every Thursday at 5:30 PM. We take the same lovely route each time, beginning at the Dalles Library parking lot, and ending with some refreshing snacks and drinks at the finish line!

Family Lego Pizza Night occurs on the last Thursday of each month at 5:30pm.

This month’s Storytime is full of Myths & Monsters! We’ll explore legendary tales, curious creatures, and magical worlds from myths and folklore around the globe.

Did you miss Giggles and Wiggles on Wednesday? Well, get ready for the weekend edition! Weekend Wiggles!

Young children will learn important safety skills through fun, hands-on activities. Topics include fire safety, earthquake awareness, and personal safety. Kids will participate in a practice fire drill and learn “stop, drop, and roll.”

This interactive session helps children build confidence and awareness in emergency situations. Topics include fire safety, helping younger siblings, caring for pets, and basic preparedness skills. Activities are hands-on and age-appropriate.

Participants will take a deeper dive into emergency preparedness through hands-on activities and guided discussion.

Come and watch members of your community perform a reader's theater adaptation of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", a tragedy about how holding on to old grudges can turn what should have been a joyous and carefree young love into deadly conflict!
