Join our weekly walk/run from the library every Thursday at 5:30 PM. We take the same lovely route each time, beginning at the Dalles Library parking lot, and ending with some refreshing snacks and drinks at the finish line!

Join us for a Family FUN night with a STEAM learning spin! Each month on the second Thursday, we'll gather in the main library for a family-friendly activity in the genre of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and/or Math.

Adventure Awaits! (Ages 6–11)

Every Monday morning at 10:30, join a librarian and a special guest buddy for a storytime. The buddy might be a puppet, a community helper, or a visiting critter. It's a mystery, and it's always special!

Experience the power of movement, breathwork, and mindfulness in a supportive, welcoming community.

In this hands-on, play-based program, toddlers and preschoolers are invited to build structures, make discoveries, ask big questions, and embrace the joy of a little mess.

A Craft Club for kids and tweens between the ages of 8 and 12! Interested in making faux fur monsters? Join our crazy Craft Club! Want to learn how to make papier-mache sculptures or giant jellyfish? This is the club for you!

The board for the Wasco County Library Service District meets at 4:00 on the third Tuesday of most months.  These meetings are usually held in the meeting room at The Dalles Public Library; though at least once a year at Dufur and at Maupin.

The Matter-of-Fact Nonfiction Book Club is a monthly gathering for readers who enjoy exploring the world through factual narratives and true stories.

Fun and games for toddlers and preschool age children! Every Wednesday morning in the library meeting room at 10:30 am until 11:00 am. Adults must accompany their child and can join in the fun! Games, crafts, music, and Fun!

Join us every month on the third Wednesday for a family-friendly movie matinee! Our movies will usually be a new release, with a beloved old classic popping up now and then during slow times of the year.
