Join us for a morning of guided nature journaling! We'll meet in the Makerspace at the library at 10:15 to quickly collect and decorate journals, and then we'll walk together to City Park a couple of blocks away.

Tea and Tranquility: Meditation & Self-Care Circle 

Fun and games for toddlers and preschool age children! Every Wednesday morning in the library meeting room at 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Adults must accompany their child and can join in the fun! Games, crafts, music, and Fun!

The Art of Abandonment: Railroad Abandonments in the Pacific Northwest illustrates how economic challenges have worked to dramatically alter the Northwest's railroad network.

Mark has released 4 full length instrumental guitar albums and a DVD: Music Videos & Live Studio Performances. In January of 2024, he released his first vocal album under the name, mark kroos and the forest floor.

Join us every other Wednesday in September to create multi-faceted characters with Eleanor Key! 

This book club is for school aged children and teens (6+) and an accompanying adult who will read the same book (together or separately by themselves). The books we read can be enjoyed by all ages!

This fun program is intended for kids age 5-10, but everyone is welcome! Each week is something different; it might be art, it might be crafts; could be Code-a-pillars and Beebots; or we might just play games.

Join us in the Teen Room every Friday for Fun Friday! Activities ranging from crafts, scary movie nights, hot coco bar, and more will happen in the Teen Room from 3:15-4:30 (unless listed otherwise for special events). 

The board for the Wasco County Library Service District meets at 4:00 on the third Tuesday of most months.  These meetings are usually held in the meeting room at The Dalles Public Library; though at least once a year at Dufur and at Maupin.

The Read What You Want (RWYW) Book Club meets every second Wednesday of the month. This is a book club for rebels who like to read whatever they want. We discuss the books we've read, what we liked and what we didn't.

We read books of all genres with queer themes. Join us to discuss books, eat snacks, and be ourselves in a safe and welcoming environment for queer folks and allies alike.

This is a course for advanced beginners to intermediate players to build on the fundamental skills covered in the Four Chord Fun ukulele class. We will learn many new chords, strumming patterns, and techniques as we play seven new songs.
