Whether you've read  and have strong opinions on every Shakespeare play or have just a vague memory of being confused by one of them in high school and want to understand what all of the fuss is about, this class is for you! Over the course of six weeks, we'll start with a broad overview of Shakespearean English, iambic pentameter, and the many ways in which the bard's works can be performed, studied, and enjoyed before taking a deep dive on our focus play: Much Ado About Nothing, a comedy about the power of gossip to both ruin and enrich the lives of people who care about each other. Did you know that the title of this play is a triple-meaning pun that only reveals itself when you know a bit of Shakespearean slang? Come and learn about that and more by registering for our debut Shakespeare class!

If you enjoy the class and want to try bringing the joy of live Shakespeare to the community, stick around for an optional extra two weeks of rehearsal for a public reader's theater performance on Saturday, March 28th. No memorization necessary!

For ages 13+.
