 Step into history and discover the elegance and discipline of Italian fencing in this engaging mini-series. Guided by instructor Andy Plymate, you’ll trace the evolution of fencing from its origins on the battlefield to the refined noble courts and the deadly serious world of honor duels.

Each session combines historical context with hands-on practice—ending with you picking up a sword to learn foundational strikes and defenses in the Italian tradition.

Andy has been immersed in Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) since 2018, with a special focus on Italian swordsmanship. His teaching style emphasizes clarity, accessibility, and fun—making the art of fencing rewarding for beginners and experienced martial artists.
