Group Minecraft with friends after school each first and third Monday of the month.

This is a course to continue the fundamental skills covered in the Four Chord Fun ukulele class. We will learn many new chords, strumming patterns, and techniques as we play seven new songs.

Cookin' the Books is a book club for people who love to cook. Each month we set a theme, pick a recipe from a cookbook that fits the theme and we bring a dish to the potluck at the Maupin City Park community building.

Join The Dalles Public Library for The Happiness Book Club!

We‘ll meet monthly to explore topics like happiness, gratitude, wellness, contentment and the implementation of science based happiness strategies. 

The Dalles Public Library is starting a Clean Reads Book Club!

We‘ll meet  every second Tuesday of the month to discuss Christian based Fiction, and even some non-fiction reads if there is interest. 

Event Details

Fun and games for toddlers and preschool age children! Every Wednesday morning in the library meeting room at 11:00 am until 11:30 am. Adults must accompany their child and sometimes can join in the fun.

The Read What You Want (RWYW) Book Club meets every second Wednesday of the month. This is a book club for rebels who like to read whatever they want. We discuss the books we've read, what we liked and what we didn't.

Held every Thursday morning at 10:30, this storytime is most appropriate to those age 18-36 months, though everyone is welcome.  We'll sing songs, do fingerplays, and read a couple of fantastic books; and, as always, we'll end with the Ba

Hang out with other fantasy book lovers and discuss the monthly book. Meets once a month on the second Thursday at 6:00 in the meeting room. 

Held at 10:30, Friday Morning Storytime includes songs, fingerplays and some great stories. This storytime is most appropriate for the preschool crowd, everyone is welcome.

Fun Fridays occur every Friday, 3:00 - 4:30.  Each week will be something different; arts, crafts, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math), games, and more.  Snacks will be available for participants

Join Ms. Kirsten for storytime fun - the whole family will enjoy!  We'll sing, dance, play games, and read stories.  The second Saturday of every month at 11:00.  

2nd and 4th Saturday Self Defense Classes for Women at the Dalles Public Library. Learn from a local expert!!! Each class builds on skills and techniques from the previous class.
